Bread for the City’s Farmers Market is open to the general public beginning at 10 am until we run out of produce. We hold the market on the second Friday of the month at our Northwest Center (1525 7th St NW, Washington, DC 20001) and the fourth Friday of the month at our Southeast Center (1700 Good Hope Rd SE, Washington, DC 20020). Bread for the City has completed construction on a new, 27,650 square foot comprehensive service center at 1700 Good Hope Road, SE, which began January 2019. Here’s a new video that captures all the special moments during the virtual grand opening.

Bread for the City is excited to announce Trazy Collins as our new Food and Clothing Director. She’s originally from Michigan, but most recently from New York City. Trazy has a Bachelor of Arts from Grand Valley State University in Spanish Language and Literature with a minor in Music and a Master of Global Development and Social Justice from St John’s University’s Rome campus.

Now, she’s with Bread for the City as a Public Ally, using her skill, compassion, and talent to assist those who have been through similar situations as our SE Volunteer & Clothing Room Coordinator.
