The DC Commission on Human Rights, in partnership with the DC Office of Human Rights, has awarded Bread for the City’s CEO George Jones a 2019 Commission on Human Rights Award, specifically, the Cornelius R. “Neil” Alexander Humanitarian Award for his and Bread for the City’s local impact and fight for equity on behalf of DC residents.

The award ceremony will take place Thursday, December 5 from 6:00-8:30pm. It will also include a presentation on DC statehood.
