Bread for the Kitties is a monthly cat and dog food giveaway event at Bread for the City in partnership with VCA MacArthur Veterinary Hospital and Hill’s Pet Nutrition.

When does the cat and dog food get issued?

    Hello! As of June 2019, Pet food is available monthly at Bread for the City’s two centers for families living with low income. Please note that the Northwest distribution is indoors, and we are only able to receive service animals inside. The Southeast distribution is outside, and individuals are welcome to bring their pets. Please see the times for each center below:

    Southeast Center (Parking Lot): Last Fridays at Noon
    Northwest Center (1st Floor): Fourth Wednesdays at 10 am

Hi, Jennifer. Thanks so much for your note! In 2019, pet food is distributed on last Fridays at noon by the parking lot at our Southeast Center.
