DC Health Series at Bread for the City: Living Well with Chronic Conditions.
Every Tuesday from January 14 – February 25, 2020
9:30 am – Noon
BFC NW Center (1525 7th Street NW, two blocks from the Shaw/Howard metro stop)
These sessions are ideal for any person with a chronic condition or a caretaker for a person with a chronic condition. (Examples of chronic conditions include diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, cancer or any condition impacting quality of life.)
This a workshop series (7 sessions) and participants are requested to attend all (or the majority) of the sessions. The sessions are 2.5 hours each, and Bread for the City will provide snacks and help with transportation needs.
Facilitators are from DC Health, and they will lead the group through topics including: setting and meeting realistic goals, managing symptoms more effectively, dealing with fatigue and pain, and making more informed decisions about treatment.
