Thank you for helping us serve our community!
Bread for the City fights to dismantle the systemic racism that is deeply affecting our community members in Washington D.C.
In our efforts to dismantle the oppression that is hurting our communities, Bread for the City has two food pantries that allow low-income families to have access to nutritious groceries such as meats, fresh fruits, and vegetables.
Community members get access to our clothing room to have proper clothing for the seasons and job interviews. It also has books and household goods such as lotion, soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, and other products are also donated.
Our legal clinic specializes in three different areas of law: Housing Law, Family/Immigrant Law, and Public Benefits Law.
In addition to medical care, our Medical Clinic provides dental, vision, and behavioral health services. Community members come for examinations, medications, lab tests, and referrals.
Our Social Services program is essential to our community due to the services it provides. Community members rely heavily on our Representative Payee Program, Pre-Employment Program, Women Empowered, The Diaper Program, Case Management, Systems Change, and Behavioral Health.
Bread for the City’s services are made possible through the support of thousands of donors like you. Without your support, we would not be able to provide the food, clothing, social, legal, advocacy, and medical services that we do to 10,000 DC residents every month. Thank you!
