What’s the COVID-19 policy?

We require everyone to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Please bring proof of COVID-19 vaccination, including a physical card, a picture of the card, or via a verification app. We ask that volunteers wear a mask during the event. If you feel sick on the day of the event, please stay home. We encourage you to take a rapid or PCR test prior to the event.

What should I bring?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and supportive, close-toed shoes. You may be outside for a portion of the day, so please bring weather-appropriate clothing! We also encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle to reduce plastic waste.

Is this event kid-friendly?

Yes! Kids of all ages are encouraged to join! While the event is primarily a volunteer event, we’ll have a few fun activities to keep them entertained.

How do I get to the Southeast Center?

Our center is located at 1700 Good Hope Road SE. It is accessible via the Green Line/Anacostia Metro Station. Several bus lines go from the station directly to our center. We have street parking and a limited number of spots in our parking lot.
