In February 2020, Bread for the City shared that we filed suit against the Trump Administration over new restrictions to SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits. Though the Trump administration initially planned to appeal, it has now opted to delay implementation of the new requirements initially set to go into effect this month.
Effective Monday, August 1st:
Bread for the City will begin distributing groceries at the front door of both centers Mon-Thurs, 9a-4p. No groceries will be distributed on Fridays, but we will still have farmer’s markets once a month at each center!
