Spreading Holiday Joy: Bread for the City’s Successful Holiday Helpings Campaign

‘Tis the season of giving, and this year, Bread for the City’s Holiday Helpings campaign went above and beyond in spreading joy and warmth throughout the community. With the collective efforts of donors, volunteers, and staff, the organization successfully distributed a staggering 12,500 holiday bags filled with holiday meats, groceries, and fresh produce.

We are so grateful for our community, which supported us through last year’s Holiday Helping obstacles. We took the summer to survey our staff and clients to help us rethink our program with dignity and respect in mind. As a result, we reached our distribution goal, community members received their holiday bags quickly and safely, and we delivered holiday bags directly to seniors living in 11 residential buildings across the city.

To our donors, Bread for the City extends its deepest gratitude to those of you who made the Holiday Helpings campaign a success. Your selfless contributions made it possible for us to provide 12,500 families with the makings of a hearty holiday meal. From individuals and local businesses to corporations and community groups, your support ensured that families in need could experience the warmth and joy of the holiday season. Your commitment to making a difference in the lives of others is truly inspiring, and we are profoundly thankful for your generosity.

To our volunteers, who are the heart and soul of Bread for the City, your involvement in the Holiday Helpings program showcased the incredible impact that a united group of individuals can have on a community. With enthusiasm and a giving spirit, you packed bags, organized distribution centers, and ensured every family received their holiday provisions. Your selflessness and dedication embody the true spirit of the season, and we are immensely grateful for the time and effort you contributed to make the program a success.

To our staff, Bread for the City is fortunate to have an exceptional group of staff members who worked tirelessly to make Holiday Helpings innovations a reality. We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who played a crucial role in making this campaign a triumph.

The success of the Holiday Helpings campaign goes beyond the numbers; it reflects the strength of community spirit and the collective desire to make a positive impact. As families come together to enjoy a holiday meal, the sense of togetherness and shared joy is a testament to the power of community support. Bread for the City is proud to be part of a community that cares deeply for its members and is willing to lend a helping hand.
