It’s hard for us to not shout this from the rooftops, but WE DID IT! The 2018 Holiday Helpings campaign may have concluded, but we are still blown away by our community’s incredible fundraising energy: your generosity made this year our most successful Holiday Helpings campaign ever!

In just two months 9,000 holiday meals were distributed to DC families thanks to the collective action of our network. The support we received made it possible for Bread for the City to provide  9,000 families and neighbors living with low income and food insecurity the opportunity to enjoy holiday meals and celebrate family traditions with their loved ones, regardless of circumstance. This is the gift of Holiday Helpings. This is the importance of our community’s united effort.

Our community of supporters came out in full force to help us reach our goal. Not only did we raise the critical funds needed to cover the cost of holiday meals for 9,000 families, but we raised enough to support our Food Program beyond the holiday season.

Bread for the City depends on our community to keep our doors open, and we are grateful to our donors and drive partners for their continued support and community encouragement to give. Thank you!
