Holiday Helpings

Holiday Helpings is an annual tradition at Bread for the City. Throughout November and December, we provide free holiday meals — a turkey and all the trimmings — for our clients to enjoy at home with family and friends. It costs just $32 to provide a family of four with a turkey dinner — so a small gift makes a big difference! We are thankful to our amazing supporters for keeping this Bread for the City tradition alive and thriving.

Southeast Expansion

Bread for the City’s new 28,132 SF comprehensive service center at 1700 Good Hope Road SE (across the street from our existing facility) will be a bigger, better facility and will enable BFC to increase the number of people we serve, offer new programming, expand community partnerships, and improve the overall client experience.

Good Hope Gala

Music, Dinner, Auction, Networking …
And the opportunity to help more than 42,000 people living with low income in Washington, DC!

In 2018, nearly 500 Good Hope Gala attendees helped us raise $1.25 million in support of Bread for the City. With your help, Bread for the City can continue to improve the lives of families across Washington, DC. We hope to see you at 6 pm on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel (2500 Calvert Street NW)!

Give Today!

Bread for the City’s services are made possible through the support of thousands of donors like you. Without your support, we would not be able to provide the food, clothing, social, legal, advocacy, and medical services that we do to 10,000 DC residents every month. Thank you!
