This vibrant community celebration honors the history and significance of Juneteenth while bringing neighbors, families, local businesses, artists, and community partners together for a day of culture, connection, and joy.

Juneteenth for the City is grounded in community and designed to uplift and celebrate the richness of Black history and culture, entrepreneurship, and creativity across Washington, DC. The event also serves as an opportunity to strengthen community connections, support local economic growth, and ensure this important day is celebrated with dignity, purpose, and pride.
