Corporate Partnership Spotlight: CoStar Group Packs 100k Meals on National Day of Service & Remembrance

Racing against the clock, 450 DC CoStar team members volunteered to pack 100,000 jambalaya meals, with red lentils, rice, dehydrated vegetables, and seasonings, on September 11th as part of the National Day of Service and Remembrance. The event, organized in partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere, was so successful the team blew by their goal and packed 100,428 meals in just four hours!

CoStar Group donated the jambalaya meals (which have a two-year shelf life) to Bread for the City, So Others Might Eat, and New Beginnings Temporary Shelter. Our CEO, George Jones, spoke to the impact of this service:

On behalf of the Bread for the City community, we are beyond grateful to be named a beneficiary of this incredible gift from CoStar Group. With CoStar’s donation, we will be able to help feed the 25,000 households we serve each year, making an impact not only on food insecure families in DC but on the health and wellness of our clients, who frequently lack access to healthy meal supplies like these. It has been an honor to partner with CoStar over the past eight years, and we look forward to continuing this great work with their team.

Congratulations to the CoStar Group team on a wildly successful event in support of children and families in the District. Your group effort made a significant impact on the fight against food insecurity, and we’re grateful for your service to our clients.
