On behalf of the entire Bread for the City family, we want to say thank you: thank you for your gifts, your spirit, and your dance moves! Saturday’s Good Hope Gala was a huge success, because of our community.
Whether you were able to join us or not, you contributed to one amazing night:Â $218,906 raised in just one evening!Â
With the help of generous sponsorship from our corporate partners, ticket sales, and other gifts, we raised $1,143,101 through this wonderful program.
We met our $15,000 e-gift match; we auctioned off amazing vacations and experiences, we ate, we drank, and we celebrated Bread for the City’s 45 years of service to DC. It was an amazing night!
There were also some really moving moments. Our outgoing chairman, Paul Taskier talked about why Bread for the City succeeds and client leader/board member Courtney Dowe shared a story of the first time she met our medical director, Dr. Randi.
It’s not too late to make a gift in honor of our 45th Breadiversary. But regardless of your ability to give, we are so grateful. Without you and our other supporters, we wouldn’t have had the great privilege, over the past 45 years, of serving the most resilient and creative community of clients. Together, we can all make a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
Thank you!
George A. Jones
