November and December bring more than cold weather. It’s time for our annual Holiday Helpings program, which kicks off today. At Bread for the City, we believe nobody should have to go without, so we’re kicking our efforts into overdrive.
Each year, our devoted staff and volunteers work together to make sure that our entire community can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal around their own table. It’s one of our most meaningful traditions, and it gets to the heart of what we do: provide DC families with supportive services with dignity and respect.
So as we break out our winter wear and decorate our spaces, we’re launching into our busiest season with a bold promise: we will provide 9,000 DC families with a turkey and all the trimmings to celebrate the holidays.
As our Client Advisory Council President Lashawn Weathers says, “Every time I come to Bread, it’s a blessing. There’s so much love.” With your help, we will spread those blessings to 9,000 families this holiday season!
Just $32 provides a family of four with a full holiday meal!
It’s a great way to get your family, friends, co-workers, and community involved.
